Precise Collision Care : Our 7-Step Repair Process
When people think of the first car ever created, they think of Henry Ford’s Model A, but in fact the first car ever produced was a three wheeled Mercedes Benz in 1886. Why is it our minds immediately go to a vehicle produced 17 year later? Henry Ford changed the paradigm of how cars were made with the implementation of the Assembly Line, which drastically revolutionized the efficiency in which cars were produced, putting them in almost every driveway in America and across the world today.

Lighthouse Collision Center is changing the paradigm of the Collision industry by imitating what Henry Ford perfected in the early 1900’s. Instead of implementing a set body and paint team to work through our customers vehicles, we have chosen to look at the process as an Assembly Line, with multiple departments to produce the most efficient, timely, and accurate repair possible. Allowing your vehicle to return to you sooner with confidence that all the damage has been meticulously accounted for and repaired safely by our ICAR Gold Class Technicians.
A Revolutionary Approach
A Revolutionary Approach
1
REPAIR PLANNING
Your vehicle is meticulously disassembled around the damaged area, accounting for all damaged parts and procedures.
A tech carefully captures photos and documents any and all unaccounted-for damage. The estimate is edited to include labor, parts, and calibrations needed for a safe in quality repair.

Why it matters:
Not all damage can be seen from the outside. Taking the vehicle apart allows for the full extent of the damage to come to light. Repair planning streamlines the repair process and establishes a workflow for repair, eliminating potential delays that may result from missing damage early on.
2
MIRROR MATCHING
After new parts are ordered and received, they are visually inspected side by side with the original damaged part. Our team ensure that the new part matches the vehicle in all aspects of appearance, options, and finish.

Why it matters:
In the event the wrong part number was ordered, was received in a mislabeled box, or another mishap occurred, making sure it is the correct part for your vehicle prevent potential repair delays in the future.
3
BODY REPAIR
Our I-Car certified tech repairs the damage to your vehicle.

Why it matters:
Whether it’s a simple door ding from the parking lot, or a major collision with another vehicle, Our techs have the experience, skill, and state of the art equipment to return your vehicle to pre-accident condition. We use only OEM repair procedures and ensure you the safest and best quality repair as possible.
4
PAINT REPAIR
The newly repaired area of your vehicle heads to the paint booth, where it is painted to match the rest of your vehicle’s factory paint finish.

Why it matters:
Upon completion, the first thing you’ll notice is the color and finish of your vehicle. We use environmentally, friendly, water – based paint to ensure the repaired area blends seamlessly with the rest of your vehicle.
5
BUFF & POLISH
Tiny imperfections, such as dust or debris, that may have attached themselves during the painting process are removed. The area is once again inspected to ensure everything matches correctly.

Why it matters:
As the final clear coat paint layer of your vehicle dries, it releases solvents that can slightly change the texture of the final finish. Buffing and polishing this layer creates a smooth, clean texture- blending in with the rest of your vehicle’s finish.
6
REASSEMBLY
New and existing parts are carefully reinstalled on your vehicle, completing the repair and making your vehicle functional again.

Why it matters:
Our goal is to return your vehicle back to you in its pre—accident condition. Our techs use care and precision to make sure all panel gaps are consistent and everything fits and functions as it should.
